english term:

Cultural landscape

english definition:

A cultural landscape (a type of anthropological landscape) is a landscape area whose characteristics in terms of overall structure, land use, fauna and flora species and water and energy reserves have largely been shaped by human activity. The eco-systems it contains are thus predominantly anthropogenic. The term today includes all of the landscapes close to densely populated areas. These contrast with natural (or at least nearly-natural) landscapes.
