national definition:Мониторинг окружающей среды представляет собой систему наблюдений за состоянием окружающей среды для своевременной оценки возможных изменений физических, химических и биологических процессов, уровня загрязнения атмосферного воздуха, почвы, водных и других природных объектов, предупреждения и устранения негативных явлений, а также обеспечения заинтересованных организаций и населения текущей и экстренной информацией об окружающей среде и прогнозирования ее состояния. Экологический аудит - независимая комплексная документированная проверка соблюдения юридическими лицами, осуществляющими хозяйственную и иную деятельность, требований, в том числе нормативов и технических нормативных правовых актов, в области охраны окружающей среды, требований международных стандартов и подготовка рекомендаций по снижению (предотвращению) вредного воздействия такой деятельности на окружающую среду.
Environmental audit/ monitoring
english definition:Environmental Monitoring – means the long-term repeated measurement of selected properties or characteristics of the environment and of the activities believed to be responsible for changes in the environment. Monitoring may be carried out on a very broad, even global scale or on a restricted, local scale. For the purposes of providing the cooperation of systems of observation over the state of the environment, estimation and prediction of changes of state of environment under the influence of natural and anthropogenic factors, reception and provision of full, trustworthy and timely information necessary for management and control in the sphere of protection of environment and nature management. Environmental Monitoring is a part of National system of Environmental Monitoring of the Republic of Belarus. It is conducted by the Ministry of natural resources and protection of environment of the Republic of Belarus, other bodies of state management in order established by the legislation of Republic of Belarus. An 'environmental audit' is a methodical examination that may involve sampling, test, analyses and confirmation of the practices and procedures of an operation. Environmental audit verifies that these practices and procedures comply with criteria prescribed by legislation, internal policies or accepted industry standards.
