national definition:

Areal til erhvervsformål kan reguleres af fysisk planlægning gennem lokalplanen og kommuneplanens rammedel. Der bruges et utal af forskellige måder at inddele forskellige erhvervstyper i dansk planlægning. En almindelig opdeling er i følgende typer:

  • Liberale erhverv, eksempelvis banker og frisører,
  • Forretnings- og servicevirksomhed, eksempelvis kontorer og administration,
  • Produktionsvirksomhed, eksempelvis stenhugger, smedje og landbrug,
  • Industri, eksempelvis autoophug, slagteri og biogasanlæg,
  • Lager- og engrosvirksomhed, og
  • Transport- og distributionsvirksomhed, eksempelvis flytteforretning og bud central.
I praksis bruges miljøklasser og støjgrænser i vid udstrækning til at præcisere hvilke typer erhverv, som skal placeres hvor.

Areas designated for business purposes are subject to regulation in spatial planning through local plans and the municipal plan. Danish planning categorizes business purposes in many ways. A common division is the following types:

  • professionals, such as banks and hairdressers;
  • businesses and services, such as offices and administration;
  • production enterprises, such as stonemasons, blacksmiths and agriculture;
  • industrial use, such as car breakers, slaughterhouses and biogas installations;
  • storage and wholesale businesses; and
  • transport and distribution, such as home removals and messenger offices.
In practice, environmental categories and noise limit values are used to specify where different types of businesses are located.
