national definition:Indsigelse er et begreb der bruges i dansk planlægning i forbindelse med offentlighedsfaser. Forslag til planstrategier, kommune- og lokalplaner skal offentliggøres og debatteres i mindst 8 uger inden endelig vedtagelse. Dette kaldes populært offentlighedsfasen. I denne har borgere, virksomheder, organisationer mv. mulighed for at komme med indsigelser mod planen. Efter offentlighedsfasen skal kommunalbestyrelsen tage stilling til de indsigelser, der er kommet mod planforslaget. Politikerne er ikke forpligtiget i forhold til indsigelserne. Indsigelser fra højere myndigheder kræver dog at der opnås enighed imellem kommunalbestyrelsen og den pågældende myndighed, førend planen kan vedtages.

english definition:Objection is a term used regarding the period of public comment. Proposals for planning strategies, municipal and local plans must be published and debated for a period of at least 8 weeks before being adopted in final form: the period of public comment. During this period, other authorities, citizens, businesses, organizations etc. many submit objections to the plan proposal. When the 8-week period has elapsed, the municipal council must consider all objections to the plan proposal. The politicians are not obligated to act on the objections. State authorities may object to a regional spatial development plan, municipal plan or local plan, and a regional council may object to a municipal plan (but not a local plan). These objections actually comprise a veto, since the higher authority and the council must agree before the council may adopt the plan.
