kirkebyggelinje

national definition:

For at forhindre at der opføres bebyggelse, som virker skæmmende på kirkerne eller hindrer, at kirkerne er synlige i landskabet, er det indenfor 300  fra en kirke forbudt at opføre bebyggelse, som er over 8,5 m højt. I tilfælde, hvor kirken er omgivet af bymæssig bebyggelse i hele beskyttelseszonen, gælder forbudet dog ikke. Bestemmelsen omfatter alt byggeri, men har især betydning for placering af siloer, elmaster og vindmøller. Kommunalbestyrelsen træffer afgørelse om dispensation fra kirkebyggelinjen.

english definition:

To prevent the construction of buildings that have an unsightly effect on churches or that prevent the churches from being visible in the landscape, constructing buildings exceeding 8.5 m in height within 300 m of a church is prohibited. However, the prohibition does not apply if the church is surrounded by urban development in the entire protection zone. The prohibition includes all kinds of structures but applies especially to silos, electrical transmission towers and wind turbines. The municipal council decides on applications about exemption from the church building line.
