national term:

tilgængelighed

national definition:

accessibility

english definition:

Accessibility is the ability (for the public in general or for specific user groups) to access, pass through or use the objects of spatial planning – such as urban and rural facilities, areas, buildings and structures. Accessibility may also be used to describe the opportunities to participate the process of spatial planning by any kind of communication. The degree and quality of accessibility are typically measured by the distance to, duration of, frequency of and capacity of the specific activities.
Legislation and guidelines etc. about accessibility ensures the accessibility of mobility-impaired people to buildings, outdoor areas, streets, paths and traffic areas (such as sections of the Building Act and the building regulations).
