Maankäytön ja liikenteen vuorovaikutteiseen suunnitteluun erityisesti seutu­tasolla kehitetty ei-lakisääteinen väline. Siinä tarkastellaan kaikkia liikkumismuotoja kokonaisuutena ja suhteessa maankäyttöön, hankkeiden rahoitukseen ja yhteistyöhön.
Välineen suhteellinen menestyminen perustuu suunnittelu­alueen kuntien vapaaehtoiseen yhteistyöhön ja aiesopimusten solmimiseen hankkeiden tärkeys­järjestyksestä. Työtapa on kehitetty Pääkaupunkiseudun yhteistyövaltuuskunnassa (YTV).

Transport system planning

english definition:

A non-statutory planning tool developed for interactive planning of transportation and land use especially on the city region level. It deals with all the modes of transport as a whole and related to land use, financing of projects, and cooperation.
The relative success of the tool is based on the voluntary cooperation of the municipalities involved and making agreements on which projects are most prioritised, etc. This way of working was launched by the Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council (YTV).
