Osayleiskaava on yleensä yleiskaavaa tarkempi. Se voidaan laatia joko oikeusvaikutteisena tai oikeusvaikutuksettomana.

Käsite ei esiinny sellaisenaan laissa, mutta on laajasti käytössä sekä suunnittelun käytäntökielessä että ympäristöhallinnon ohjeissa.

Partial local master plan

english definition:

A local master plan drawn up for separate sub-areas or activities.

A partial local master plan is usually more detailed than a local master plan.

It can be drawn up to have or have not legal consequences referred to in the Land Use and Building Act.

The term as such does not exist in the legislation, but is widely used both in the planning practice and the guidelines of the environmental administration.
