Suojeltu luontotyyppi (luontotyyppi)

national definition:

Pienialainen arvokas luontoalue, joka on suojeltu Luonnonsuojelulain nojalla, mutta ei niin tiukasti kuin perinteiset luonnonsuojelualueet.

Seuraaviin luontotyyppeihin kuuluvia luonnontilaisia tai luonnontilaiseen verrattavia alueita ei saa muuttaa niin, että luontotyypin ominaispiirteiden säilyminen kyseisellä alueella vaarantuu:

  1. luontaisesti syntyneet, merkittäviltä osin jaloista lehtipuista koostuvat metsiköt;
  2. pähkinäpensaslehdot;
  3. tervaleppäkorvet;
  4. luonnontilaiset hiekkarannat;
  5. merenrantaniityt;
  6. puuttomat tai luontaisesti vähäpuustoiset hiekkadyynit;
  7. katajakedot;
  8. lehdesniityt; sekä
  9. avointa maisemaa hallitsevat suuret yksittäiset puut ja puuryhmät.

Protected habitat type (natural habitat)

english definition:

A small-scale valuable nature area defined in the Nature Conservation Act, which is protected but not so strictly as traditional nature reserves.

 - It is prohibited to alter any of the following natural habitat types or comparable habitats in such a way as to jeopardize the preservation of the characteristic features of the area in question:

  1. wild woods rich in broad-leafed deciduous species;
  2. hazel woods;
  3. common alder woods;
  4. sandy shores in their natural state;
  5. coastal meadows;
  6. treeless or sparsely wooded sand dunes;
  7. juniper meadows;
  8. wooded meadows; and
  9. prominent single trees or groups of trees in an open landscape.
