Yhtenäinen asutus, jota varten on yhteisten tarpeiden tyydyttämiseksi syytä ryhtyä erityisiin toimenpiteisiin, kuten teiden, viemärin tai vesijohdon rakentamiseen.
Suunnittelun käytäntökielessä edelleen runsaasti käytetty käsite, jolla oli tarkka lakisääteinen merkitys vanhassa rakennuslaissa (ennen vuotta 2000).

Continuous settlement, which requires that one should due to common needs start special actions like constructing roads, a sewer or a clean water pipe.
A still common term in Finnish land use planning practice, that had also specific legal content in the previous version of Land Use and Building Act (i.e. before the year 2000).
