national definition:

Apbūves blīvums ir procentos izteikta zemes gabala visu ēku apbūves laukumu summas attiecība pret zemes gabala platību. Apbūves intensitāti (I) aprēķina ar šādu formulu: I = ((S x 100) / Z )% , kur S - stāvu platība, Z - zemesgabala platība. Ja zemesgabala daļa atrodas sarkanajās līnijās, tad, aprēķinot apbūves intensitāti un brīvās teritorijas rādītāju, to neskaita zemesgabala platībā.

building density (intensity)

english definition:

Building density is the total of building areas of all structures per lot area expressed in percentage. Indicator of building density (A) is calculated by following formula: A = ((L x 100)/Z) % , where L - total of all building areas and Z - area of plot. If part of land plot is within the red lines, then, calculating the indicator of building intensity is not included in the area of land plot.
