Pie atjaunojamiem dabas resursiem pieder augi, dzīvnieki un citi bioloģiski resursi, kas atjaunojas gan kvantitatīvi, gan kvalitatīvi, ja vien to sugas nav novestas līdz kritiskai robežai un tiek veikti īpaši pasākumi to saglabāšanai, kultivēšanai un racionālai izmantošanai.

Renewable resources are natural resources replenished through natural processes or by human activities. Renewable resources means resources produced as part of the functioning of natural systems at rates comparable with its rate of consumption (e.g. food production by photosynthesis). Limits to renewable resources are determined by flow rate and such resources can provide a sustained yield.
