Normālā erozija dabā (no latīņu erodere - sairt) ir iežu noārdīšanās, pārvietošanās un izskalošanās tekoša ūdens, ledāja, temperatūras, vēja vai viļņu mijiedarbības rezultātā. Tehnogēnā erozija ir augsnes noārdīšana ar dažādiem tehniskajiem līdzekļiem vai arī ar nepareizu ražošanas tehnoloģiju.
