Galvenā dzega ir ēkas fasādes sienas vainagojošā josla, kas atdala sienu no jumta un pasargā sienu no nokrišņiem. Ja ēkas arhitektūrā šāda elementa nav, par galveno dzegu ēkas augstuma noteikšanā pieņem jumta malu, parapeta virsmalu vai savietotā jumta malu.

english definition:

Main cornice is the crown moulding of a building's facade wall that divides the wall from the roof and protects the wall against the precipitation. In case the architecture of a particular building does not envisage such element, for the purposes of measuring the building height it is assumed that the main cornice is the roof edge, the highest side of the parapet or roof junction edge.
