Iekšpagalms – ārtelpa daudzdzīvokļu dzīvojamo mikrorajonu apbūvē, kuru iezīmē brīvstāvošu vai savienotu namu izvietojums un kas paredzēta uz pagalmu attiecināmo iedzīvotāju rekreācijas un saimniecisko funkciju nodrošināšanai. Rekreācijas funkcijas ietver iedzīvotāju pasīvās un aktīvās atpūtas vietas (arī soliņus un bērnu rotaļu laukumus), kā arī dzīvnieku pastaigu laukumus. Saimnieciskās funkcijas ietver piebraucamos ceļus ar autostāvvietām, atkritumu konteineru laukumus, nojumes veļas žāvēšanai.

Patio – the outside space in the neighborhood’s multi-apartment building, which shall be represented by disposition of free located or merged buildings and which shall provide the functions of recreation and household for the inhabitants. Functions of recreation include inhabitants’ passive and active places of recreation (also small benches and playgrounds), as well as the places for the walks with animals. Functions of household include the access roads with parking lots, places for waste containers and the sheds for laundry drying.
