Aizsargājamai teritorijai var izstrādāt individuālos aizsardzības un izmantošanas noteikumus, ņemot vērā konkrētās aizsargājamās teritorijas īpatnības, kā arī tās izveidošanas un aizsardzības mērķus un uzdevumus. Aizsargājamās teritorijas individuālie aizsardzības un izmantošanas noteikumi reglamentē pieļaujamo un aizliegto darbību veidus šajā teritorijā, kā arī, ja nepieciešams, tās iedalījumu funkcionālajās zonās. Individuālos aizsargājamo teritoriju aizsardzības un izmantošanas noteikumus reglamentē Ministru kabinets. Pašvaldību izveidoto aizsargājamo teritoriju individuālos aizsardzības un izmantošanas noteikumus reglamentē attiecīgā pašvaldība.

Upon the recommendation of the responsible minister, regulations on protection and use of protected territories may be developed for a protected territory on the basis of general regulations on protection and use of protected territories and the peculiarities and goals for the establishment of the particular protected territory. Individual regulations on protection and use of protected territories shall be regulated by the Cabinet. Individual regulations on protection and use of protected territories established by local governments shall be regulated by the relevant local government.
