Inženierkomunikāciju jeb inženiertehnisko komunikāciju objekts nozīmē zemes un būves vai tās daļas izmantošanu valsts, pašvaldības vai apdzīvotās vietas inženiertehniskās apgādes un infrastruktūras objektu (elektroapakšstacijas, katlumājas, gāzes sadales stacijas, automātiskās telefonu stacijas, kanalizācijas un lietus notekūdeņu attīrīšanas iekārtas, dzeramā ūdens attīrīšanas un atdzelžošanas stacijas) un transporta sistēmu (ceļu, ielu un dzelzceļa) objektu izvietošanai.
