Nacionālais plānojums ir nacionālā līmeņa teritorijas plānojums, kurā noteiktas valsts intereses un prasības valsts teritorijas izmantošanā un attīstībā. Nacionālais plānojums attiecas uz visu valsts teritoriju. To izstrādā, ievērojot valsts reģionālās politikas pamatnostādnes, nacionālo attīstības plānu un nozares attīstības programmu. Nacionālais plānojums ir dokumentu kopums, kas ietver Latvijas telpiskās attīstības perspektīvu; nacionālā plānojuma saistošās daļas; nacionālā plānojuma vadlīnijas. Nacionālo plānojumu izstrādā, izvērtējot valsts reģionālās attīstības plānošanas dokumentus, kā arī Eiropas Padomes, Eiropas Savienības un Baltijas jūras valstu padomes telpiskās plānošanas pamatnostādnes.

National Spatial Plan

english definition:

A national level spatial plan is the National Spatial Plan, which sets out all national interests and requirements for the utilisation and development of the territory of the State. The national spatial plan is an aggregate of documents, which includes the long-term spatial development perspective for Latvia; binding parts of the national spatial plan; and guidelines for the national spatial plan.The national spatial plan shall be developed by assessing the State regional development planning documents, as well as the spatial planning guidelines of the Council of Europe, European Union and Council of Baltic Sea States.
