Par nekustamā īpašuma objektu var noteikt: (Nekustamā īpašuma valsts kadastra likums)
1) zemes vienību, izņemot daļu no zemes vienības, ko pievieno blakus esošai zemes vienībai un zemes vienības daļu;
2) būvi, izņemot būvi, kuru var pārvietot no vienas vietas uz citu vietu, to neizjaucot vai citādi ārēji nebojājot, pagaidu būvi, būvē esošās pagrabtelpas, bēniņus, kāpņu telpas, komunikācijas, iekārtas un citus ar būves ekspluatāciju funkcionāli nedalāmi saistītus koplietošanas elementus, ja nav veikta konstruktīva pārbūve, tos pārveidojot telpu grupā, būves piebūves, izvirzījumus, inženiertehniskās iekārtas un citas izbūves, un žogu, mūri, dzelzceļa uzbērumu, gulšņus un sliedes, veģetāciju, kas klāj zemes virsmu, robežzīmi, kā arī citas ietaises, kas saistītas ar zemes vienību vai būvi;
3) telpu grupu, izņemot atsevišķā telpu grupā ietilpstošu telpu, ja telpu grupa sastāv no vairākām telpām.

The following may be specified as an object of immovable property:
1) a unit of land, except for a part of a unit of land, which is added to an adjacent unit of land,and a part of a unit of land;
2) a structure, except for a structure, which is movable from one place to another without disassembling thereof or otherwise not damaging it externally, a temporary construction, basement, attic, stairwells, communication system, equipment and other elements of common use present in the structure and connected with the exploitation of the structure, which are not able to be detached functionally, if the constructive reconstruction has not been performed, by modifying them as a group of premises, annexes to structures, projections, engineered equipment and other buildings, and a fence, brick wall, rail bank, sleepers and tracks, vegetation covering the land surface, boundary sign, as well as other installations connected with the unit of land or structure; and
3) a group of premises, except for a room within a group of separate premises, if the group of premises consists of several premises.
