Nozares attīstības programma ir vidēja termiņa (septiņi gadi) politikas plānošanas dokuments, kas attiecas uz noteiktu jomu un nosaka mērķus, galvenos uzdevumus un sasniedzamos rezultātus šīs jomas attīstībā. Nozares attīstības programmu izstrādā un īsteno saskaņā ar reģionālās politikas pamatnostādnēm, nacionālo plānojumu un nacionālo attīstības plānu.

The sectoral development programme is a medium-term (seven years) policy planning document, which applies to a particular sphere and sets objectives, main tasks and results to be achieved in the development of that sphere. The sectoral development programme shall be prepared and implemented in accordance with the Regional Policy Guidelines, the National Spatial Plan and the National Development Plan.
