paaugstinātas bīstamības objekti

Paaugstinātas bīstamības objekti ir:
1) objekti, kuru saimnieciskā vai cita veida darbība ir saistīta ar enerģijas ražošanu un uzkrāšanu, elektromagnētisko starojumu, ugunsnedrošu, sprādzienbīstamu, bīstamu ķīmisku vielu un produktu, bīstamo atkritumu, augu karantīnas organismu, bioloģiski aktīvu un radioaktīvu vielu, kodolmateriālu un to atkritumu pārstrādi, apstrādi, ražošanu, lietošanu, uzglabāšanu un transportēšanu tādos daudzumos, kas katastrofu vai citu faktoru iedarbības dēļ var nodarīt kaitējumu cilvēkiem, īpašumam un videi ārpus objekta teritorijas;
2) hidrotehniskās būves.

Atbilstoši kaitējuma iespējamam apjomam paaugstinātas bīstamības objektus iedala trijās bīstamības grupās:
- valsts nozīmes objekti;
- reģionālas nozīmes objekti;
- vietējas nozīmes objekti.

Paaugstinātas bīstamības objektu noteikšanas kritērijus un šo objektu īpašnieku (valdītāju, apsaimniekotāju) pienākumus riska samazināšanas pasākumu nodrošināšanai nosaka Ministru kabinets.

hazardous objects

Hazardous objects are the following:
1) objects, the economic or another type of operation of which is connected with the generation and accumulation of energy, electromagnetic radiation, processing, treatment, production, use, storage and transportation of flammable, explosive, hazardous chemical substances and products, hazardous waste, plant quarantine organisms, biological active and radioactive substances, nuclear materials and waste thereof in such amounts that due to the impact of a disaster or other factors damage may be caused to persons, property and the environment outside the territory of the object;
2) hydrotechnic structures.

According to the scale of possible harm (damage), hazardous objects are divided into three hazard groups:
- objects of national significance;
- objects of regional significance; and
- objects of local significance.

The criteria for the specification of hazardous objects and the duties of the owners (possessors, managers) of these objects for ensuring measures for reduction of risk is determined by the Cabinet.
