Pludmale ir jūras krasta sauszemes daļa starp ūdens līmeni un vietu, kur sākas dabiskā sauszemes veģetācija. Pludmales (liedagus) parasti veido viegli izskalojami nogulumieži (smilts, grants, oļi) un ir tieši pakļautas regulārai jūras un vēja ietekmei.

Beach is the part of the land of the seashore between the water level and the place where the natural vegetation of the land begins. Beaches commonly are formed by easily washed out sediments (sand, gravel and pebble) and are directly submerged to regular sea and wind influence.
