Swedentiesības uzturēties un brīvi pārvietoties valsts un pašvaldības mežā
national definition:Fiziskajām personām ir tiesības uzturēties un brīvi pārvietoties valsts un pašvaldības mežā, ja normatīvajos aktos nav noteikts citādi. Transportlīdzekļus drīkst lietot, tikai pārvietojoties pa meža ceļiem, izņemot gadījumus, kad drīkst pārvietoties arī mežā meža apsaimniekošanas un aizsardzības nolūkos. Pašvaldība pēc Valsts meža dienesta vai vides aizsardzības institūcijas ierosinājuma meža ugunsdrošības interesēs, kā arī īpaši aizsargājamo teritoriju, meža augu un dzīvnieku aizsardzības interesēs var ierobežot fizisko personu tiesības uzturēties un brīvi pārvietoties mežā. Personas pienākums, uzturoties mežā, ir ievērot meža ugunsdrošības noteikumus, nebojāt meža augsni un meža infrastruktūru, nepiesārņot mežu ar atkritumiem, ievērot noteikto kārtību atpūtas vietu izmantošanā, nepostīt putnu ligzdas un skudru pūžņus un citādi nekaitēt meža augiem un dzīvniekiem. Fizisko personu uzturēšanos un brīvu pārvietošanos citā mežā var ierobežot to īpašnieks vai tiesiskais valdītājs.

english definition:Natural persons have the right of access and free movement in a State or a local government forest, if regulatory enactments do not specify otherwise. Means of transportation may be used only for moving along forest roads, except in cases when it is permitted to move in the forest also for the purpose of forest management and protection. Upon recommendation of the State Forest Service or an environmental protection institution in the interests of forest fire safety, as well as in the interests of specially protected territories and wild plants and animals, a local government may restrict the right of access and free movement of natural persons in a forest. It is an obligation of a person, while staying in a forest, to observe forest fire safety regulations, not to damage forest soil and forest infrastructure, not to pollute the forest with waste, observe the prescribed requirements regarding utilisation of rest areas, not to destroy bird nests and ant hills, and not to otherwise harm wild plants and animals. Access and free movement of natural persons in other forests may be restricted by the owner or the lawful possessor of the forest.
