national definition:Valsts zemes reforma ietver īpašuma tiesību atjaunošanu, valsts un pašvaldību zemes īpašumu privatizāciju un valstij piekritīgās brīvās zemes piešķiršanu pastāvīgā lietošanā, piešķirtās zemes izpirkšanu. Zemes izpirkšana un zemesgabalu privatizācija norit saistībā ar valstī realizējamo lauku apvidus un pilsētu zemes reformu. 2007.gadā tuvojas noslēgumam valstij piekritīgās lauku apvidus un pilsētu zemes reforma. Pēc Nekustamā īpašuma valsts kadastra informācijas sistēmas datiem, 2006.gadā valstī kopā reģistrētas vairāk par 950 000 zemes vienību, no kurām apmēram 66% ir ierakstītas zemesgrāmatā. State Land Reform
english definition:In Latvia State Land Reform includes restoration of property rights, privatisation of state and local government land properties and allocation of free land cognisable to the state for permanent use, and redemption of the allocated land. Land redemption and privatisation of land plots is being carried out in relation to the rural and urban land reform that is under way in the country. The reform of the rural and urban land cognisable to the state is close to completion. According to data of the information system of the Latvian Real Estate State Cadastre, in 2006 more than 950 000 land units are registered in the whole country, of which approximately 66% are recorded in the Land Book (Register).
