national definition:Zemes dzīles ir zemes garozas daļa, kas atrodas zem augsnes un virszemes ūdeņiem līdz dziļumam, kurā ekonomiski un tehniski ir iespējami ģeoloģiskie pētījumi, derīgo izrakteņu ieguve vai arī tās izmantošana. zemes garoza ir zemes ārējā cietā daļa, kuras biezums Latvijā ir 40-64 km. Zemes dzīļu derīgās īpašības ietver iežu fizikālās īpašības (porainība, caurlaidība, blīvums, izolētspēja, termālā enerģija u.c.), kā arī ģeoloģiskās struktūras, kuras var izmantot tautsaimniecībā. Zemes dzīļu fonds nozīmē visas izmantojamās un neizmantojamās zemes dzīles Latvijas teritorijā un ekskluzīvajā ekonomiskajā zonā neatkarīgi no to piederības (īpašnieka).
subterranean depths
english definition:Subterranean depths is a part of the Earth's crust which is located under the soil and surface water up to the depths in which it is economically and technically possible to perform geological research, extraction of mineral resources or use thereof. The Earth's crust is the outer, solid part of the Earth the thickness of which in Latvia is 40-64 km. Useful properties of subterranean depths mean physical features of rocks (porosity, permeability, density, capacity of insulation, thermal energy etc.), as well as geological structures which may be used in the national economy. Subterranean depths stock means all usable and non-useable subterranean depths in the territory of Latvia and in the exclusive economic zone regardless of the possession (owner) thereof.
