Tiesības aizņemt un izmantot konkrētu zemes gabalu. Noma nozīmē tiesības izmantot tikai daļu no resursiem, piemēram mežu, bet ne visus teritorijas resursus. Nomāt var indivīdi, kopienas, valdības vai uzņēmumi. Zemes iznomātājiem ir aizliegts iejaukties zemes nomnieku saimnieciskajā darbībā, ja tā nav pretrunā ar nomas līgumu un zemes nomnieki nepārkāpj Latvijas Republikas zemes likumdošanas aktus.

english definition:

Land lease (tenure) is the right to exclusively occupy and use a specified area of land. Land lease may also be limited to certain resources such as timber but not to all resources in a given area. Land lease may be hold by individuals, communities, government, or corporations. Land lessor does not have rights intervene to land lease holder's economical activities if these are not violating the land tenure contract and if the land tenant does not violating the land legislation of the Republic of Latvia.
