 Lovfestet betegnelse på det foretak som i henhold til byggesøknaden er ansvarlig for byggearbeidene. Kommunen kan pålegge ansvarlig utførende å benytte særlig kvalifiserte utøvere for de deler av byggeoppdraget som ansvarlig utførende selv ikke utfører.
