Lovfestet benenevnelse for supplerende lovbestemmelser som gis departementalt i medhold av den aktuelle loven. Departementet kan gi forskrifter til gjennomføring og utfylling av bestemmelsene i plan- og bygningsloven, herunder om tidsfrister for de enkelte deler av saksforberedelsen og behandlingen av plan- og bygningssaker, om klagebehandling og om virkninger av fristoverskridelse. Departementet kan i forskrift også fastsette unntak fra regler om tidsfrister.

Subordinate legislation, By-law I    

  Statutory term for supplementary regulations issued by the Ministry in accordance with the act concerned.
The Ministry may lay down subordinate legislation for the purpose of implementing the provisions of the Planning and Building Act, including time limits for the individual parts of the preparatory proceedings for and processing of planning and building matters, procedures for dealing with administrative appeals and the effects of failure to comply with a time limit. The Ministry may also make subordinate legislation prescribing exemptions to the rules regarding time limits.
