Forurensingsloven

  Lov av 13. Mars 1981, nr. 6. Lovens formål er å verne ytre miljø mot forurensning, å redusere mengden av avfall og å fremme en bedre behandling av avfall.. Den skal sikre en forsvarlig miljøkvalitet, slik at forurensninger og avfall ikke fører til helseskade, går ut over trivselen eller skader naturens evne til produksjon og selvfornyelse.

The Pollution Control Act

   Act of March 13, 1981, No. 6. The purpose of the Act is to protect the outdoor environment against pollution and to reduce existing pollution, to reduce the quantity of waste and to promote better waste management. The Act shall ensure that the quantity of the environment is satisfactory, so that pollution and waste do not result in damage to human health or adversely affect welfare, or damage productivity of the natural environment and its capacity for self-renewal.
