Del av lovfested og obligatorisk beskrivelse av forestående plan- og utredningsarbeid i forbindelse med konsekvensutredninger i tilknytning utarbeiding av fylkesplaner, og kommuneplaner som setter retningslinjer eller rammer for fremtidig utbygging, samt for reguleringsplaner som kan ha vesentlige virkninger for miljø, naturressurser eller samfunn, se konsekvensutredninger.
