Profesjonsrelatert karakteristikk av og hyppig brukt betegnelse på den offentlige planlegging som favner alle de sektorer som er viktige for en velfungerende velferdsstat.Slik denne termen blir brukt er den likevel mer å forstå som en karakteristikk av en ønsket eller mulig planlegging, enn som betegnelse på aktuelle former for planlegging, selv om både kommunenes og fylkeskommunenes planlegging assosieres med en slik samfunnsintegrerende planlegging.
