Zarząd powiatu

Organ wykonawczy powiatu. Do jego zadań należy w szczególności wykonywanie uchwał rady, gospodarowanie mieniem powiatu, wykonywanie budżetu oraz prowadzenie analiz i studiów planistycznych. Zarząd w liczbie 3-5 jest wybierany przez radę powiatu w głosowaniu tajnym, spośród radnych lub spoza składu rady, na kadencję rady powiatu. W skład zarządu wchodzą starosta jako jego przewodniczący, wicestarosta i pozostali członkowie. Członkostwa zarządu nie można łączyć z członkostwem w organach gminy i województwa, mandatem posła lub senatora, a także z zatrudnieniem w administracji rządowej.

County Board

The executive body for a county. Its tasks comprise especially: execution of the council resolutions, managing the county property, executing the budget, and carrying out analyses and planning studies. The board consists of 3-5 persons and is elected by the county council in secret ballots from among the councillors or from outside the council for the board term of office. The board comprises the head of a county, his/her deputy and other members. Board membership cannot be combined with membership in the organs of a commune or voivodship, a parliamentary or a senatorial seat, and also not with public administration employment.
