Regionala tillväxtprogram

Regeringen uppdrog 2002-11-14 åt berörda länsstyrelser och självstyrelseorgan att utarbeta förslag till regionala tillväxtprogram (RTP). Programmen utarbetades under år 2003 och ska genomföras under perioden 2004-2007.

Syftet med regionala tillväxtprogram är att samordna insatser inom områden där sektorssamverkan bidrar till att utveckla hållbara lokala arbetsmarknadsregioner utifrån ett näringspolitiskt perspektiv.

I de län där det bildats kommunala samverkansorgan respektive regionala självstyrelseorgan är det de som är ansvariga för utformandet och genomförandet av RTP. I övriga län är det länsstyrelserna som är ansvariga.

Utifrån regionernas förslag till tillväxtprogram och med hjälp av Institutet för tillväxtpolitiska studier (ITPS) förhandsutvärdering har regeringen fattat beslut om att godkänna respektive regionalt tillväxtprogram med vissa förbehåll.

Regional growth programme

The government commissioned on 14 November 2002 county councils and regional self-governing bodies to prepare proposals for regional growth programmes (RTP). These programmes were prepared during 2003 and are to be implemented during 2004-2007.
The purpose of the regional growth programmes is to co-ordinate efforts within areas where cooperation between sectors contributes to the development of sustainable local labour market areas from the perspective of enterprise policy.
In counties where intermunicipal cooperation bodies or regional self-governing bodies have been formed, these are responsible for the design and implementation of the regional growth programme. In other counties, the county administrative boards are responsible for this.
Based on the regional proposals for growth programmes and with the assistance of a preliminary evaluation by the Institute for Growth Policy Studies (ITPS), the government has decided to approve each regional growth programme with certain reservations.
