Regionalpolitik

Syftet med den svenska regionalpolitiken är att människor i olika delar av landet skall ha tillgång till arbete, service och god miljö. Allmänt så är regionalpolitik den politik som syftar till att trygga likvärdiga förutsättningar för samhällsutvecklingen i olika regioner.
I Sverige talar man om den lilla regionalpolitiken och den stora regionalpolitiken. Den lilla är den egentliga regionalpolitiken med de olika regionala stöden och den stora är de regionala konsekvenserna av allt som staten gör. Efter Sveriges EU-inträde är den svenska regionalpolitiken samordnad med den europeiska.

Regional policy

The purpose of the Swedish regional policy is to give people in different parts of the country access to work, service and a good environment. In general terms, regional policy is policy that aims to secure equal conditions for the development of society in different regions.
In Sweden, the terms small regional policy and large regional policy are used. The small regional policy is the proper regional policy, including different regional support measures. The large regional policy consists of the regional consequences of all actions by the state. Following Sweden's entry into the EU, Swedish regional policy is coordinated with the European regional policy.
