Regionplaneförbund

national definition:

Enligt plan- och bygglagen kan ett kommunalförbund eller ett särskilt regionplaneförbund utses för att hantera mellankommunala frågor. I detta samarbetsorgan kan kommuner och landsting vara medlemmar. I Sverige finns bara regionplaneförbund i Göteborgsregionen. I stockholmsregionen är landstinget regionplaneorgan.

english definition:

According to the Planning and Building Act, a statutory joint authority or a special regional planning body can be appointed to deal with intermunicipal issues. Municipalities and county councils can be members of this cooperation body. In Sweden only one regional planning body exists, in the Göteborg region. In the Stockholm region, the county council is the regional planning body.
